I actually liked the couch--I didn't find the back to be too low, and it was reasonably firm but comfortable. My opinion is not dispositive, however, as Mr. Johnson expressed an intent to bring more ladies to check out the sofa before committing to it.
sorry -- coming to the comments party late, so this may go unanswered -- which couch? I know ikea inside and out after furnishing 95% of my apartment with swedish-designed goods, so odds are I've tested said couch.
also, is matt finally getting a *real* couch? geez -- I leave new haven and all sorts of crazy stuff starts going down.
